FOR TWENTY GENERATIONS

Pottery is more than a craft—it’s a legacy, passed down from childhood and woven into daily life.

In Macrina’s village, pottery is not just a craft—it’s a way of life. For over 20 generations, families have shaped cookware and serving pieces from the region’s distinctive red clay, using time-honored techniques that have remained unchanged for centuries.

It Started with One Brave Journey

A single bus ride that sparked global recognition

At just 16, with no local market to support her family’s craft, Macrina boarded a bus to Guadalajara—driven by a quiet determination to share the red clay of her village with the world.

That bold first step marked the beginning of a lifelong journey. Through vision and perseverance, she not only created opportunities for her own family but brought national recognition to the artisans of her region. Macrina’s story is one of resilience and purpose—a testament to how tradition, when carried forward with intention, can shape the future.

Crafted for Everyday Use

Cookware designed to hold not just food, but memories

Macrina’s red clay cookware is made for the warmth of the kitchen, not the stillness of a shelf. Thanks to its natural thermal properties, each piece is designed for open-flame cooking—developing its own marks and memories with every use. “Let them be used,” Macrina says. “Cook many meals with them. That’s how they become part of your family.” Every vessel is a functional heirloom—hand-shaped, history-rich, and crafted to bring generations together around the table.
